Microsoft Java Virtual MachineUnfortunately, Microsoft has stopped distributing its own version of the Java Virtual Machine because of a court case with Sun Microsystems. Microsoft will still give updates for their users with the latest version of the MSJVM. However, if you have Windows XP SP1, then you have the MSJVM installed already. If you have Windows XP SP1a, then I'm sorry to say that you don't have the MSJVM. If you need the JVM, you may download it from Sun Microsystems here.
But if you really prefer the JVM of Microsoft (like I do) you may download it from here. (Thanks to MVPs.org for the link!) Be sure to run WindowsUpdate after you have installed the JVM. [Back to top]
