I've decided to put this page up so that you would know what are the sites I get to visit most often or what software I am using. I am going to try and give you a hint what these sites are about. Just check it out. These sites might be able to help you on something.

But before I forget, I'm just putting this page here as links with links to other copyrighted materials, and I do not have control over what they may have to say.

To start with, I love knowing what is happening around the world. The only thing that I wish, though, is that we get to read more good news than ones that makes us scared.
  • cnn.com - For the latest in global news, this is the site I first check out.
  • msnbc.com - I love this site. Microsoft and NBC are doing good with this site. They give comprehensive reports about anything that's current.
I love this site:If you love free software, and are a computer freak like me, there is only one place I get to check about free software:
  • download.com - This is the very first site I check out if I need a driver for a hardware. But don't get me wrong, download.com is not only for drivers. They have many software you can download for free (of course, that's aside from the shareware ones). In fact, most of the software I use now are freeware and found out about them from download.com. There are tons from which you can choose from. And I would like to thank everyone who selflessly share their software for free. They are great!
Ever been scared of other people hacking through your computer and finding about your personal stuff? Or were you, at least once, been infected with a virus? Check these sites out:
  • Zone Alarm - This is just a neat tool! Firewalls are an essential Internet tool nowadays. It's no longer a luxury. By using ZA, you become in control over who can contact your computer, or what software can access the Internet or not. You may make other people think that your computer is not connected to the Internet, thus, prevent them (at least) from trying to access your computer.
  • McAfee.com - Now you know what software protects my computer against viruses. Would you believe I've never been infected with a virus for at least five years already? Well, thanks to McAfee's VirusScan. If it works for me, it should work for you, too. Just don't forget to update your virus definition files every now and then.
  • antivirus.com - And then there is this site which provides free scanning of your computer through the Internet. What else can you ask for? It's free and it checks your computer if you are infected.
  • Gibson Research Corporation - This is a cool site with lots of information about security. And if you have a firewall, you may click here to check if your computer is indeed protected by your firewall.
  • Symantec IP Trace - So you have received spam as well, haven't you? Have you as well wondered where that E-mail is coming from? You just need the IP address and you will find where that spam is coming from...and with a global map to boot!
  • Do you have parasites? - Check your computer if you have any spywares which could violate your right to privacy.
  • Spybot Search & Destory - You can also download Spybot Search & Destroy to scan your computer and destory the spywares which you may have in your computer.
Others
  • CNET Bandwidth Meter - Know how fast or slow your Internet connection is.
  • Official Philippine Time - Be on time. Get the correct Philippine time. This public service is cooperatively provided by the two time agencies of United States: a Department of Commerce agency, the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), and its military counterpart, the U. S. Naval Observatory (USNO).
  • XE.com Personal Currency Assistant - Know up to the moment value of your money!
After I got my original and genuine Windows XP Pro, I can't say anything more. I never had problems and I'm sticking with Microsoft. And lastly, if not for these, I would not be able to put my website on the net.
  • netfirms.com - Netfirms.com used to be my free hosting site. They have a good service and customer support and have a free plan as well. They have CGI/Perl support (though I hope they would give PHP/MySQL support for free too soon enough). They have taught me well!
  • evrsoft.com - Evrsoft.com is responsible for 1st Page 2000, the software I use to edit my HTML codes, and yes, you got it right, I hardcode everything from scratch. It's free and comes along with an HTML help. Just great.
  • smartftp.com - After all the pages are finished, it's easy to upload them to the server with this (another) free utility.
  • xitami.com - But of course, I just don't write the codes and upload them to the server immediately. The codes need to be tested first so I use Xitami as my server software. If you are interested to have your own server, Xitami might be able to help you and it's free again!
